Emilio Carrillo Gamboa:

Founding Partner.

Mr Carrillo is an expert in corporate governance, particularly regarding the audit committee.

He is currently a member of the audit committee of each of Kimberly Clark de México (President), Grupo México, and Southern Copper (listed on the NYSE).

Mr Carrillo also holds the positions of Executive Secretary of the Mexican Business Council (2004 to date) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Mexico Fund (listed on NYSE).

He was Ambassador of Mexico to Canada (1987-1989) and CEO of Teléfonos de México (1975-1987).

He is fluent in both the Spanish and English languages.

 

Emilio Carrillo Peñafiel:

Partner since 2000.

Emilio is a specialist in financing matters; representative transactions include the largest debt issuance by a private entity in the Mexican market to this date (over US $ 3 billion, in a single tranche).

He has extensive experience in M & A transactions involving the energy and real estate industries, particularly through the design of trusts, having participated in transactions valued at more than US $ 8 billion.

Emilio received his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University (1994); he also holds both a law degree (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, 1992 – with honors) and an accounting degree (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, 1990).

He is fluent in both the Spanish and English languages.
